The taste of Citrus Spice Blend is reminiscent of Lysol with a soapy aftertaste.

Citrus Spice Blend is hands down the most disgusting toothpaste I've ever tried. When I first brushed my teeth, I tried to identify the awful taste. It was like an industrial cleaning chemical and reminded me of being a janitor in college. And then it dawned on me - Lysol. And yes, it tastes so bad. I could handle it while it was rinsing out of my mouth, but after rinsing my mouth out and moving on to the next activity, I noticed that my mouth tasted like liquid castile soap. I looked at the ingredients and sure enough, castile soap was right in the middle of the list. For now I'm just tolerating it because after having to return the first bottle because it was full on the packaging I have no real desire to return it. As for the pros, I still haven't noticed them after a week of use. Seriously, it's not worth it. Edited: I used this for a month and then gave up. No matter how tightly I close the jar, it dries out around the edges, and if you don't use it for several days, then in the middle. It's springtime here near Chicago, so it's very humid, so it's not because the house is dry. Other flavors might be better but that's the only reason I won't buy it again. It was already too expensive and half my glass was gone. Also the gums got very irritated during use and receded a bit, I can't say for sure it's because of this toothpaste but I won't take any chances anymore. It's not worth it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
