This is a FAN-tastic cooling pad!

Like the pun? Seriously, this is a SUPER block. And not just for gamers. I'm returning other cooling pads I bought in favor of this one. It has a powerful fan with different power levels and lighting options. There is no doubt about the ability of this device to cool the laptop. It's perfect for a 17" laptop or 15.6" laptop and a cellphone next to it when it needs to cool down too. Sure, it's a bit more expensive than its competitors, but your laptop is way more expensive and you want to protect it from overheating and frying electronics. Most of the time, a cooling pad isn't necessary, but when one is needed to extend the life of your laptop, it beats all the weak. This is definitely the right thing. Hmmm, maybe I should think about putting another one under my modem and router :) Update: I've had it for a few weeks now. I really like that I can adjust the angle of the screen - it's very handy when I'm lying on the couch or lounging on the bed. When using my 15.6 inch laptop, I was able to place my phone next to the laptop platform to cool down. I was about to drop the box when I realized I forgot it has a ledge to hold the phone upright. 2 cell phones - one with Otterbox and a thin cell phone - both don't fit in the bar but that doesn't bother. If you're planning on keeping it in the bedroom, you'll need to turn it off lest you wake up to a shower of colorful LED lights - again, this isn't a deal breaker, as the light activity encourages the user to turn off the panel when not in use and minimize power consumption. happy with it. PS I have been putting off buying another one for my modem and router - my ISP will provide me with a new modem and router so I may need a second cooling pad.
