Review on MSI WF65 Mobile Workstation Laptop: Intel Core i7, NVIDIA Quadro πŸ’» T2000, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVME SSD, Win10 PRO - Review and Specs by DaHee Cheon ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

I took it for study (I program a lot, Nvidia needed it for programming using Cuda) and in order to be able to play. For educational tasks, the laptop is almost perfect: smart, starts up quickly and is not buggy, it's a pleasure to work with it (my previous laptop had a buggy HDD, compared to this, my new one is just heaven and earth); it is also very good for programming (however, 8 GB of RAM is still not enough, IDE and dozens of browser tabs eat up almost all of it; I will add another 8 GB, there is a free slot in the laptop). For games, it is also very good, the percentage and vidyuha are very powerful, and a good ssd, but the laptop is quite hot and noisy

Pros
  • Powerful processor (in turbo boost max frequency 4.27GHz), good Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 4 GB graphics card, SSD, 144Hz IPS matrix, keyboard backlight. Runs most games at high graphics settings
Cons
  • Marky case (fingerprints remain). The charger connector is located in the middle, which is inconvenient in itself, and besides, it is next to the slots for the release of hot air, which is why during games the wire is constantly heated by the flow of outgoing air. Constant barely audible crackling in the middle, just above the keyboard. I don’t know why it is, some owners of the same laptop also complained about it. Uncritical, but if you sit without headphones in silence - it pisses you off. Weak cooling system (only one cooler), in The Witcher 3% constantly at a temperature of 80 - 82 degrees, the video card is about 76 degrees. I cut the maximum frequency of the processor to 3.4 GHz, the percentage began to warm up to 74-76 degrees, which is still too much. In Cooler Boost mode (when the cooler spins at maximum speed), another 5-10 degrees are dropped, but the laptop starts to make a lot of noise. I plan to undervolt the processor and video card
