All brass construction then chrome plated unlike other "expensive" razors made from inferior chrome plated zinc or zamak. Aside from the classic leader, the 1970's Gillette Super Speed, you'll find that the heads are virtually identical. Both shave equally well. The main difference is that the Weishi handle is longer, which I think allows for better shaving control. So save your money - buy Weishi instead of the metal pots of cheaper but more expensive razors. If you're afraid of breaking it, then don't shave properly. Sound? Right now I'm torn between the Astra Superior Platinum, which offers multiple smooth razors per blade, and Voskhod Stainless, which offers cheap but impressive performance. I can get 6 or more quality shaves with one blade, very smooth, no irritation.
