It's made partly from biodegradable plant fibers, but because it says "Biodegradable Blend" on the front, it's made from a blend of polyurethane-33 and aluminum. I haven't found anything in the literature that confirms that polyurethane-33 is actually biodegradable and there are no typical biodegradable components of types of polyurethane that are biodegradable. Aluminum does not decompose.
