I have had this printer for a few months now and I REALLY want to like it. It's inexpensive, big, and based on the CR-10, which has a great community. However, this printer has been a headache from day one. At first the print quality was absolute crap. I had a half mm Z wobble caused by a bent Z axis lead screw and an off center Z shaft coupling. I have another printer so I could print a self centering coupling but if that was my only printer it would be validly fucked up. Second, the magnetic platform. It's nice at first, but I quickly crumpled it when trying to remove the imprint. The crease was sticking out of the bed and wouldn't align. More trouble as while it was my fault a magnetic steel sheet or even a glass bed would have been much better. (I'm using a Home Depot 12" mirror tile) Third, it's proprietary firmware. The board is 32-bit and I'd love to tinker with all the modern Marlin features, but unfortunately that's it. The board also has a connector for a second stepper extruder and a completely unused driver, an unpopulated BL touch connector and even a socket for an ESP WiFi module. I would also like to know what to do with it π Fourth and most annoying is crappy network cabling. After everything else, repairing the z-wobble and replacing the bed, prints nicely. But it's still a cheap product with mediocre quality control. When I examined the smell of hot glue emanating from my power supply after a few months of use, I was shocked to find that the 24V line was weakened, over-bent and direct with the 120V line melted line to IEC connector. There was a total loss and a combination of FIRE AND ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD Pros: This printer is easy to assemble and connect. Cons: - Proprietary firmware - Poor quality magnetic build plate - Z fluctuation - Potentially fatal quality control. TL; DR Don't buy it expecting anything other than a blueprint. Check the wiring before use.
