This is definitely too small for cats and even kittens. However, this is the perfect size for ferrets! All my ferrets love to claw, bite and tug at this tower. There are no rubber feet on the bottom so it glides easily over hardwood and tile floors. I'm hesitant to add some rubber (ferrets love to chew on rubber), so I'll put it on the mat for now so it doesn't slide a bit better. I only allow my ferrets to use this tower under supervision, and it rises off the ground when they're done with it during the day.
