The unit broke after multiple uses and exorbitant shipping costs to fix under warranty so I threw it away

I used this unit maybe 25 times before it broke. It wasn't heavily used either. It looks like the vibration is just loosening the parts inside the device and you can't take it apart yourself to fix it. The shipping cost for the return (one way) under warranty was $50 (half the price of the unit) as it is so heavy that I refused the repair and threw the unit away. The company only pays return shipping to fix it under warranty (most likely their way of encouraging consumers to throw it away to keep their warranty costs down). I decided to contact the company and after prodding them they offered a $17 discount return label but they don't report it (should have offered it to me when I contacted them to find out if I could could send back for warranty repair but don't let me know I'm sure from the manual). But due to a busy season I was unable to ship it for a few months and then contacted them again to arrange the return. Told me that the device was out of warranty and that I would have to pay for shipping both ways and for repairs, and recommended that I buy the device back. So it's a cheap device, not built to last and too expensive to repair (think that DVD player you throw away and buy, brand new from another manufacturer). The company aims to sell it cheaply instead of helping the consumer have a good after-sales experience to save a dollar. Sunpentown is now off my list of manufacturers I will ever buy from.
