I don't have air conditioning, but I have an elderly cat with cancer. I just want her to be as comfortable as possible for the rest of the time. I ordered the small size PetFusion Cooling Blanket. It arrived and was even better than I had hoped. It's soft and silky. and cool to the touch. I ordered a second small and an X-Large for myself. (I repeat: I don't have air conditioning.) The cat has a tumor in the left upper jaw opposite one of the left sinuses. She suffers from atopic dermatitis and sometimes exhales bloody phlegm and food when she sneezes. (If you have chronic sinus problems, you'll see what I mean.) Some drooling was also a problem. I folded and re-folded the first blanket so it had a clean side to lie on. while waiting for the second to arrive. When the second came, the first was dirty. I then (a) soaked the dirty blanket in cold water for thirty minutes, (b) replaced the dirty water with clean water, (c) soaked the blanket for an additional hour. , (d) put in a mesh laundry bag and (e) wash in normal eco-cold wash. It cleaned up beautifully between soaking and machine washing! I hung the quilt on a rock stand because my dryer was already running on a load. It was almost dry when I came back later to put it in the dryer. I found two very weak spots but I had to double check the front and back of the duvet to find them. If I had ordered the Cool Brown color I probably wouldn't be able to find the stains at all. I cannot fully praise this product.
