I have several mini fairy lights, each with a different base. I just needed lightbulbs to replace my blown headlights and this set of mini lightbulbs was just what I needed. If they came with a base I would probably have to take out the bulb and throw away the base. With bare bulbs, I just take the blown bulb out of the existing socket (there are several different types of sockets), replace it with one of these, put it back in the socket, and you're done. Just notice the small wires sticking out from the bottom of the base. Straighten them and remove the old bulb, insert the new bulb (1 wire in each small hole), bend the wires to match the edges like the original bulb and insert back in the chain on.
