UPDATE: I took the Canyon Wing at 95-100 and thought I could do 75 even though my wife poked me in the back to slow it down. Looking back, I realize it was a stupid move, but seriously, I actually thought I was going to slow down until I checked the speedometer at her urging. Definitely worth the money for the increased stability at any speed. ********************* I was so fed up with the chrome plastic parts on my bike that I was glad to get this solid metal triple clamp with metal guard. Everything is beautiful, from the design lines to the production and chrome finish. I wouldn't buy it just because it looks better than the chrome plastic non-structural fork guard the bike had, but it's definitely a nice plus. The design made it easy to install with no instructions, but there were a few pictures in the instructions that made things even easier. I'm certainly no expert on functionality, but I've owned my Goldwing for almost 7 years and almost 40,000 miles, so I know my bike pretty well. I like corners that are tight enough to scratch the pins, but I've found that the corners feel a bit less stable at high speed (85-95 mph). I was hoping this would slow things down a bit. Also, I have pretty bad wobble at 38mph when I hold the handlebars slack (a common complaint with Goldwings) so I was hoping this would reduce that wobble as others have had this benefit with a triple clamp. What I found was striking. an increase in handlebar stiffness and response (about 25%), but it didn't reduce shimmy by 38%. I'll admit I was disappointed that there wasn't an improvement in flutter, but I don't ride hands-free on holds very often, so no big deal.. I haven't had a chance to hit my favorite 95mph road yet, but I would feel free to update this if there is an exceptional improvement. There was some improvement at 75 mph, so I'm expecting good results at 95. This strut does everything it's supposed to do (clamps the forks together without adding stress between them) and makes it into a nice, easy-to-install product deserves 5 stars. I recommend this strut to anyone who wants to tweak the fork flex a bit for slightly better steering response. However, this part is definitely not a necessity for every Goldwing. Keep in mind that the Goldwing already rides very well for a big bike, and this brace doesn't turn it into a sport bike. If you decide to buy it, Kuryakyn is a reliable company and this brace will not disappoint. I'm happy with my orthosis, but I think a new windshield makes more sense.
