Review on ASUS USB3 0_HZ 3B Docking Universal Station by Steven Murray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as described and exactly as I had hoped. I recommend.

I have a gaming laptop (Asus Fx505dt) with a single HDMI port. After connecting my gaming laptop to a single monitor for a year, I decided it would be great to have a second monitor to enable multitasking and other activities. The first product I bought didn't work as I wanted so I sent it back. On trying again I ordered a different product and again had the misfortune that this product was defective and didn't work at all, also had to return it. I was willing to return the monitor I bought only to say the second monitor was completely shut down. Luckily for me, a family friend recommended I look for a docking station and I found it pretty quickly. Although the price was a bit high, I decided to order it and try it. Can I say that this product works great, unboxing was quick and pleasant and connection is easy (don't forget to plug it into a USB 3.0 port for better video quality). If you go to the website, you can easily find and install the drivers, and it is a fairly simple installation process. After restarting, your second monitor will start working in the same way. This product also has USB ports, audio jacks and many other features described. It all works great. The only downside to this product is that you can't charge it directly from the dock, which can be disappointing given the price, but being able to organize all my cables on this dock made things a lot easier. Easier and easier to unplug the charger for use elsewhere. Also, 144Hz is unattainable (from what I could find out), although it can handle 4k at 60Hz, but that wasn't a huge issue for me. Overall, this product meets my needs for a second monitor perfectly, and cable management has also been greatly improved. I would recommend it if you are interested in a second monitor for your laptop.
