I didn't want to pay $1,800 for a 27-inch Apple monitor for my M1 Macbook Pro or $6,000 for a 32-inch monitor, I wanted to be able to control the monitor's speakers with the macOS volume control, which Apple blocks unless you're using a certified monitor. I connected the DisplayPort from my CalDigit dock to the monitor and the screen worked right away without rebooting the mac and the mac volume works to control the monitor's speakers and this curved 39 inch monster looks like I'm in a movie. Theater, all for $500. I didn't even have to pay an extra $300 for the kickstand. Incredible. I was considering a cheaper 40" curved scepter, but reviews said the points are too big for text and office work. I can see slick text here so it was worth it. Deco Gear has a new customer.
