Started on my rescue lab mix, Bella, and our rescue chivini, Ryder, switched to this food as the lab mix has a severe chicken allergy and it's just easier to stick to the same diet. . They used to eat Rachel Ray Just 6 but Bella still showed signs of allergies from time to time so I researched her food and symptoms. Turns out, even though I had them in my turkey rice recipe, when I looked at the actual ingredients, I saw multiple types of chicken by-products, chicken meal, or chicken fat 🐔. I'm not sure what it was, it's just that I think it was false advertising. Bella began suffering from a severe bladder infection and bloody urine. I found that the fillers and low amount of true protein in the kibble were affecting their immune system. I planned on making her own raw food for her and freezing the extra nights. The problem was that I have lupus and flare-ups and I can't tell how I'm going to feel from one day to the next, so I couldn't leave it to chance if they had food. I read that their natural instinct is to eat game. I almost cried when I came across this brand. My Lab Mix improved day by day and became happier as a puppy. It's a little pricey, but seeing her improve on a daily basis has been a real blessing. Meaty toppers are her favorite. They actually beg for food by dancing!
