What I really like about this kit are the air-cooled remote controlled LED lights. They fit into a standard socket, so they can be used in a lamp or other lighting fixture. The lights are available in three color temperatures, which I refer to as "warm white", "bright white" and "daylight". They can also be darkened. They're controlled by an infrared remote, so you can control them independently or together, depending on how you position them and where you point the controller. If it comes with instructions, mine were missing. However, it's all easy to understand, so apart from one button on the remote I didn't have any trouble. By the way, this button looks like a recycle symbol. Tries to press separately and in combination with other keys. Nothing. However. Stands are standard. Nothing to write about, but not bad either. I like how the umbrella reflector opens up. You have to use two hands to do this, but once you know that, it's easy. It was a bear trying to do it with one hand. Diffusion caps are good. They do their job well and are easy to install or remove. This light set is ideal for small photo/video studios and other intimate spaces. Shades and diffusers do a good job of creating a nice, balanced light on the subject. They are bright enough when used close to the subject. In other words, these aren't powerful lights to illuminate the entire scene; only one article. That's exactly what I need, so I'm happy.
