I am really surprised by the 5 star rating! I searched and searched until I found a butter dish with a near perfect rating. This is of course not a 5 star product. Firstly, this is a beautiful dish from afar. Up close you'll see that the butter knife doesn't fit flush—or even B—with the cutout made for it. It sticks out at the end and flies away at the slightest movement. Second, it must be sealed. It is NOT sealed. It opens and closes very easily, but that's the problem. Your description even says "hermetic", which is why I bought it. It's definitely better than the one-handed lids, but again, nothing comes close to being airtight. I could probably pick it up with one hand if I picked it up and gave it a little shake. Third, a butter knife's blade is basically snapped into the handle, and there are two obvious gaps between the handle and the blade. Any moisture or food getting into them and this knife becomes extremely unsanitary. Well, that experience (among many others here) taught me that sometimes, no matter how hard you look for the best item, you never really know. How good is it when you hold it in your hands! From now on, I will mentally deduct at least one star from most items on Revain, knowing that this is probably closer to the actual rating.
