When I first received these two headphones, I couldn't get them to work. My 15 year old grandson tried it too and none of them could get it to work after several tries. I called Amazon and they refunded the purchase price and said I didn't need to send them back. Fast forward a few days and I tried again, this time removing the blue tape that was wrapped around the little white piece you hold to connect to your phone and voila, they worked. I took a close look at the blue tape the night I got them and found that it doesn't interfere with inserting the actual connector so figured it was just tape to protect that end from dirt and grime, since you will face it every time you use it. . It would be helpful if there were instructions on how to remove it. I apologize for the initial bad review and am correcting it now. The next step is to call Amazon and ask them to charge my card again.
