The positives first: the softness of the duvet and the ruffles around the edges make the bed feel so inviting. Duvet covers and pillowcases get softer with every wash. The pattern is beautiful, this is how the Laura Ashley brand became famous. Well, cons, when the blanket is removed from the package, a rather foul smell resembling onions is immediately noticeable. That's the best way I can describe it. After a thorough wash, there was nothing left in the washing machine. Although I will say that washing this blanket definitely requires a high capacity washing machine due to its thickness and size. I bought a second duvet because my first one ripped at the bottom and wouldn't sew together. These shortcomings made me decide to buy again.
