Moose is not smooth

Six different kitchen utensils are offered for sale on this page to make it clear that this review is all about cast iron moose. These are cute rustic and authentic coasters designed by someone who is obviously familiar with the look, feel and pose of the beautiful and powerful moose. I was surprised to see someone call her imperfect. You're missing the point of the word "rustic", of course the finish has a rough surface texture mimicking a moose hide, this person has obviously never seen a moose up close - who's ever heard of smooth moose? I would be very disappointed in these coasters if they were painted with a perfectly smooth glossy enamel. Not only is the exposed surface of the product rustic, but so is everything else. The cutout edges are rough, the bottom is rough, even the legs look like handmade. That's the beauty of this topic and why it deserves praise and not criticism. If that's true, then that's what's going to happen in real life - hot pots and pans are placed on it, they're trivets, after all. Over days, weeks and months this natural rustic patina will scratch, burn and discolour and these poor elks will be worn more and more like anything in a warm loving family kitchen and one day maybe passed down to children and grandchildren you can one Tell a million stories and no one cares if they look old because every family does. For these reasons, I am glad that they are now part of our kitchen and therefore recommend them.
