This is a really big peeler and I prefer the slightly smaller ones. However, it's not a big minus. One of the major downsides I can see right away is that the chisel point on these knives is usually slightly concave so it sticks like a potato eye into whatever you're trying to chisel out. This has a rather triangular fuller shape with a flat surface, no concavity. As a result, it doesn't cut as effectively. However, it is strong enough and is more likely to fail if the blade becomes dull and rusty than the handle will break.
