He started smoking in the library.
This cable worked very well for the first three weeks but then I went to the library to get it and the cable started hissing and smoking and possibly catching on fire. I have the same charger that came with my laptop so I tried plugging the undamaged part of the new one into the old one and it started hissing again. It seemed that the problematic part was the half that connects directly to the computer. Besides, it worked great. But I'm afraid to buy another one.
