This pillow is awesome! I actually use this pillow as a head and neck support. It's soft but doesn't compress like my regular "knee" foam pad. My standard "kneeling" foam pillow compresses so much that my head sinks completely into the pillow, past my ears. This pillow doesn't have that problem. Instead, my head and neck rest on the pillow instead of in it. It provides just enough support so there is no gap between my neck and the bed, but there is just enough to gently rock my head without causing the sinking feeling I get from my regular "kneeling" foam pillow . When I first tried this pillow, I experienced a sense of relaxation and comfort that is absolutely beyond words! When purchasing this type of pillow, remember that you are getting a 100% memory foam pillow (like this one) and not a multi-layered memory foam pillow. Both types can be advertised as memory foam pillows. There's a big difference between them, and not just in price. I've also had regular memory foam pillows, which were extremely firm (stiff). The density of memory foam determines whether the pillow (or other memory foam products) is firm or soft. Just for your information. I highly recommend this product. For me this is a piece of heaven! Oh, and yes, you can use this as a knee pad too. ;-) Very impressive!
