I have two girls who are built very differently. This swimsuit fits both as long as you are the right size. I followed the size chart and it was spot on. It's best to measure a leotard or swimsuit that you know fits well, but it was pretty close when I measured my girls. To measure the distance from the shoulder to the crotch, it is better to fully wrap the loop and divide it in half. My 5 year old daughter is 35 pounds, 44 inches and has virtually no buttocks. She wears 4T in pants and 5T in leggings and shirts. She measured between 120 and 130 on the chart so I ordered both. She's right between them. Size 120 won't suit her for long, but it's decent below. A little 80's style on the sides, but everything remains closed. Size 130 fits with room for growth but cannot be worn without shorts. I will keep both because the price can't be beat and the sleeves were what we needed anyway. My 7 year old weighs about 60 pounds, 50 inches and has a slightly thicker build than average. Size 7 in pants and 8 in leggings and shirts. I bought her a 150 and it fits great. A little room to grow, but not sloppy. I watched them for a while but was afraid to buy. Then I saw a little girl at her gym wearing this and it seemed to be holding up well. I'll let you know if we have any problems but they survived a pair of socks and washed Well (I don't put their swimsuits in the dryer so they don't experience it) Girls love colors!
