Bought for my husband's desk because the setup made him squat terribly in the chair. Whether or not this stand works for you really depends on how high the user sits and how big the monitor needs to be. So I suggest using drawers to elevate the monitor to see what stand height you need before you buy it. That suits him and his situation perfectly. We both like the looks and the extra storage options (before he got this he had piles of dirty papers). It took him about 10 minutes to set it up. It's very well done and we're not expected to get rid of it unless we decide to change the style, but even then I think we'd reallocate it somewhere else before throwing it away.
