Not perfect, but I'll probably be the only one who notices

I had four repairs to do. There was a chip on the edge of the white marble countertop in the bathroom. The kitchen's dark brown granite countertops had two 1/16" cracks next to the built-in range as well as a very visible chip on the rim of the sink. I used a clear infill on white marble, exposed it to 4x more UV than the instructions say and sanded very carefully. Avoid grinding outside of the repair. It worked great. No one but me will ever know the chip ever existed. The dark granite was harder. For the shell chip, I combined tiny blobs of clear and black in three rounds. Again 4x more time with light for each round and lightly sand each round block to restore the edge. The spatula turned out to be more polished than the granite, but the result was still good. When I told my wife I wanted it better, she couldn't even find a fix. For the gaps next to the stove I used transparent. I sanded about 1/2 inch along the sides of the cracks removing the surface luster from the granite. I wasn't able to sand and polish to a high gloss so be careful. Those slightly gloomy spots look like they're a little smudged and hard to see, but it wouldn't be nice if that happened on a highly visible drain chip! To avoid this, follow the instructions on the tape in the immediate vicinity of the repair site. In short, for a few dollars and a little time, our meters will be fixed. New owners can live here for months before noticing the spots. I'm happy!
