I used it before - 50 1.8, which was my first lens, after the whale one. It didn’t work out right away with 1.8, a terrible cam drive, buzzing heavily when focusing, constantly overshooting AF, and a terrible appearance - a cheap lens! For a long time he was gathering dust with me, tk. I couldn't use it. Another thing is 1.4 - a situation arose when a staff member was 24-105, a portrait lens was a tamron 90 2.8, and something fast was needed. The choice was not great - after reading reviews of 50 1.4 decided to take! never regretted it - a great lens! Sharp, even at 1.4 excellent! AF is accurate and fast! The picture is a fairy tale (I use it in tandem with 6d). For street street - perfect. Portraits in the studio and not only - easy! Baptism in a church without a flash - babies in the room - easily! On FF, the perfect focal length, IMHO! I almost always have enough, outside the studio - I almost always shoot at 50! Who is thinking of switching from 1.8 to 1.4 - I advise you to switch! :) Pros: looks - it's better! it no longer seems like a cheap toy on the camera, on the contrary! Build quality - it definitely doesn't feel so fragile and unreliable! AF is way better! Misses goooooorazdo less than 1.8. Picture is better! At 1.8, the working hole was from 3.2, or even 3.5, and 50 1.4 was already sharp from 1.8 - 2.0! And most importantly - they WANT to shoot! :)
