I'm a casual photographer using a combination of a Nikon DSLR with a kit lens, an Olympus Tough camera and an iPhone 7+. I take most of my shots while riding my bike around the Washington area. All of my gear is quickselected, allowing me to fire quickly and cover a large area. Even my mobile phone holder on the bike is designed for quick access (QuadLock). I argued with myself a lot before ordering this $30 bag. The sizing and specs seem right, but will it hold up? Should I go for the $75 Lowepro Slingshot 102 brand? Or an upgraded Lowepro Slingshot Edge 150 AW for $80? Result: I ordered a RevainBasics bag because it was available with 1 day shipping and I needed it immediately. To tell the truth, I'll admit that immediately after clicking the buy button I had buyer's regrets. I kept coming back and reading reviews about the Slingshot 102. However, after receiving it and putting it to use the next day, I can say I made the right decision. Very happy with this little bag! Pros: This is a very good copy of the Slingshot 102. Only the contrasting gray panels (cosmetics) and the Lowepro logo are missing. Functionally, it appears to be identical except for the built-in, concealed rain cover. All my usual gear fits in comfortably without having to stuff too much in. Cons: I wish it still had the bright orange interior of previous versions and wish the front pocket with side bellows was a bit deeper. Neither one violates the agreement, especially the commentary on outer space. After all, this bag is to be taken with you. Comfort: I wore it for over 5 hours on a hot morning for a photo walk. The straps have never pinched or pinched. The system worked as advertised every time I dived into main storage. A simple release and twist of the clamp and I was in my gear. I've since shortened the main strap a bit and it's gotten even better. The padding on the side against the back is surprisingly generous. This is particularly useful when carrying this bag while cycling when most of the weight of the bag is on your back. Speaking of biking, the day after the photo walk, I pulled out my DSLR and padded dividers and used that space to pack. lightweight jacket for a 15 mile trip. I had plenty of free space and I could probably fit a camera in there if I wanted to, just without the soft velcro straps. Haven't tried packing a regular tripod yet. I carry a Manfrotto Pixie Mini wallet with phone clip and it fits perfectly in the side pocket. It's a lightweight, durable and versatile bag that also deserves style. I'll drive it for miles.
