This is a hit with my two year old grandson. The ladder acts as a lever to push Playdoh through the stencil strip like a fun factory, but it's bigger and stronger so he can handle it better. There's also another spot to load a two-tone blue playdoh so the hose sloshes out when you twist the handlebars. It will also be a great toy truck. The only disappointment is that there is only 1 pattern strip (disguised as another ladder) instead of the 2 or 3 (I forgot) strips that come with Fun Factory. If you have the Fun Factory patterned stripes, they are NOT suitable for a fire truck. They're slightly narrower, so the force of the playdoh makes them pop out when you pull the lever. However, this toy captivated our little one for hours. Take it!
