Review on AUTOSAVER88 Headlight Projector Reflector Passenger by Travis Petty

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The clear coat only lasted a year and started cracking and peeling

I followed someone's review to go ahead and coat it with silicone to avoid moisture issues. Especially since Houston is a very humid city. I could see areas where the sealing wasn't very good and could cause problems. I've coated the entire seam with clear Permatex silicone and hope I don't have any problems. Halogen turn signals still work and look bright enough against a black background. And the low beam is lasfit LEDs which I also bought from Amazon. Very quiet and super bright. All my bulbs fit well and overall the cases look great. Do yourself a favor and just seal them up really well before you deploy them and a few hours before so they can heal a bit. I recommend removing the plastic wrap after installation so you don't scratch it in the event of an accident. The easiest way to replace the headlights was to also remove the 3 7mm screws, 2 plastic bridges and 1 10mm bolt in the fender liner which is mounted near the bumper. Then pull out the top painted plastic piece on top of the bumper, this will require a bit of wiggling and tugging as it snaps into place. Then bend it under the headlights. There is a 10mm screw in the bottom corner next to the wheel arch. Loosen it just enough to push the headlight out, it's not necessary to unscrew this screw all the way, but you can if you want. There are also 2 10mm screws on the top of the headlight. Remove these 2 and also remove the plastic cover on top of the grate. Just pull out the plastic rivets. Disconnect all the headlights and then just wiggle the connector that goes into the headlight from the bottom and it will come out. And then just put the clip on the new light, all the bulbs back in and back in. Many videos also help online. I should have searched first, it would have saved me time. Check out my IG, I will be posting more photos of Benitazer there. I will update my review if I encounter any issues. After about a year I noticed that the clear coat was cracking and started peeling around the edges, now the clear coat cracks are visible all over and some are starting to discolor. I've had them installed for 1.5 years now. I wouldn't buy them again and next time I would just buy the OEM or DEPO brands, I bought them for the color combination of the clear reflectors but the overall quality isn't great.

Pros
  • Long lasting finish
Cons
  • There are downsides
