I love it. Use the plumber's putty on the top.
I got this once to keep the floor from leaking, I like it. Use plumbing putty on the top (like a normal installation). Then place the bundle where the steps lead under the sink. Pack it in the base. Smooth. Insert the two washers provided. Here's the "trick". Use PASTE Teflon tubing liberally on threads. Now put the base nut firmly on. that it no longer has any hidden leaks.
