The flat plastic beads for the weighted quilt worked great!
I made weights for my elderly mother who lives in a nursing home. She has terrible anxiety attacks and I've read that a weighted blanket helps some. I made one side out of pink minky and the other side out of cotton with a pink pattern. I adjusted the weight so it's not too heavy for her. As I was about to fly home, I told her that if she found it too heavy, I would be happy to take it with me. "No, no," she said, "I like it!" The flat plastic beads were pretty easy to work with and I love that the cover is washable if needed.
