Review on 🌰 REFECTOCIL Light Brown Color Kit with Cream Hair Dye + Liquid Oxidant 3% 3.38 oz + Mixing Brush + Mixing Dish by Christine Dillard

The kit includes a tube of cream paste paint, a bottle of toner, a glass mixing cup and a small brush. Instructions are also included, but they're rather obscure and largely useless. However, once you get the hang of it, it will be pretty easy. In my experience it does not stain the skin. Safe for the eye area. I just did my eyebrows. The color lasts quite a long time and practically does not fade. I do this every 4 weeks or so, and not because the color is fading but because new hair is growing. And since my hair is light brown, it's very noticeable. So here's the process I use: I work one brow at a time because I need time to apply the color. Mix. The instructions are pretty unclear on this. I squeeze ½ to ¾ inch of the product into the small glass tumbler that comes with the kit. I add about 10-12 drops of toner and mix well. You have to blend it until it is creamy smooth. The paste wants to stay clumpy and applying it doesn't help. It has to be absolutely straight to surround the small hairs you are working with, otherwise it will just lay on top of the hair and you will end up coloring only one side. Apply. I use a few tools to prep my eyebrows and apply color. First I use a clean coil and comb my hair to separate it. I part the brow down the middle and comb the hairs on the top half towards the hairline and the bottom half towards the eye. This allows me to color all the hairs in my brows and not end up with random blonde hairs that somehow skipped the color. I take a tool with a comb and brush end (usually used for mascara) and take a small amount of the product I mixed and spread it thinly over the teeth of the comb end. Then I start combing through the brow areas, brushing in the same direction I parted them. If a small amount of product runs out, reapply and work through the entire brow. This gives each section a first coat of paint and helps me get a nice wet base to work with. I then use a small lip liner brush to apply just the right amount of product to each strand of hair. You really want to cover your hair in a thick layer, but you want to gradually build up that layer to make sure every hair is covered. After everything is completely covered, I wait 12 minutes and then dry thoroughly with a damp cotton swab or gauze. It usually takes 3-4 gauze swabs per eye to remove product and thoroughly wipe area of product residue. I usually pluck immediately afterwards with no problems or discomfort. You get a TON of product with this set. That's easily enough for me for a whole year, even with my daughter. Speaking of. Yes, she enjoys it too. However, she needs to be careful while applying the product as it stains her skin for 3-4 days. That doesn't really bother her, she says, because then she doesn't have to do anything for a few days to dye her eyebrows. She wished there was something permanent. I told her it... it's called a tattoo. She wasn't impressed. I have no idea why her skin is mottled and mine isn't. My skin kept getting paler. We will reorder when this tube of paint runs out.
