Review on πŸ–±οΈ Enhance Efficiency with Kensington Pro Fit Ergo Vertical Wireless Trackball (K75326WW) by Jonathan Ulsth

Really comfortable trackball - better than Logitech

I've been using trackballs for years and prefer them for the comfort on my wrist. I've had a Logitech M570 for a long time but was dying to lose the key, plus Logitech doesn't support much Mac OS lately. (The image above shows a new Kensington mouse versus my old Logitech M570). Finding a Bluetooth trackball can be a challenge - there aren't many of them. I first tried the Logitech MX Ergo trackball, which failed almost immediately (left click just stopped). Anyway, I wasn't a big fan of this form. When I returned Logitech, I found this new trackball. Kensington products have a reputation for being well made, so I decided to give them a try. The hallmark of this trackball is the "handshake" position - your wrist is at a high angle and your thumb is almost up. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I find it quite comfortable and got used to it straight away. I have average female hands and the trackball size is great. The path is narrow enough to easily walk on foot if you wish. I downloaded the KensingtonWorks software and was able to adjust the pointer speed, scroll speed, and most extra mouse buttons, but had no luck with the forward and back buttons. It could be a problem with Mac OS Catalina. This trackball is a sentinel! Suggestion - Remove any other third party mouse software from your computer - it seems to be interfering with the Kensington software.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
