I got this keyboard when I had an ulnar nerve compression in my right hand. Now I am checking and "ergonomizing" my entire workplace. I chose to use the split keyboard to help me when doing long typing sessions on my computer. I've been wanting to get a Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000 but I've had these units before and while they're a great choice for ergonomic keyboards, the spacebar issue is driving me nuts! I've never had a device without a sticky, noisy, clicking keyboard. I came across this device while looking for an alternative. For the price it couldn't be better. I also like the fact that this one is white. I like seeing type with ease, which is why I'm leaning toward lighter keyboards now. I have vision problems so writing in black on white helps a lot. This keyboard is as simple as it is. It's plug and play, no driver installation required, although it has 7 multimedia buttons (www [or internet], search, email, sleep, volume up and down, and mute). I don't rely heavily on media keys, but they work well enough in most programs. I also like that the number, capital letter, and scroll lock status indicators are in the center above the divider. For the price, this keyboard is a real bargain. It's missing some of Microsoft Natural 4000's bells and whistles, but I think it's the next best thing. And not to mention that it really helped my arm pain. I highly recommend it.
