Review on PonyCycle Riding Horse, Chocolate Brown ๐ŸŽ with White Hoof - Medium Size Pony by Robert Correa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality, super fun.

My 6 year old daughter asked Santa for this for Christmas. I was very hesitant because a) it's expensive, b) it's a complex, soft, imported toy. In my experience this usually means crappy quality products that are used for hours or minutes before they break or are found to be defective. I also thought *no way* "riding" could be as fun and smooth as the video shows. Well I was wrong and all other 5 star reviews are correct. This thing is built really well (literally steel from the inside) and the ride and steering are incredibly smooth and well designed. The daughter jumped up and ran around the house. It's maneuverable enough to drive through the dining room and kitchen with ease. Damned. That's cool. I found myself looking envious, imagining an adult size. Defects? 1) My brother wants to ride it. Turn on dispute modeโ€ฆ. 2) There are no brakes so the hills are a suggestion to hop off and walk. 3) The front wheels can catch on bumps, causing the child to be thrown off and the horse trying to eat the pavement. It's also narrow, so it can tip over during fast cornering. But everyone enjoys it and my kids now have a better understanding of the laws of inertia and gravity. Okay, I know it sounds awful, but it's not! Seriously fellow moms and dads, did you NEVER fall off anything as a kid? Of course you did and you're still alive to tell about it. Despite hints here and there, no one was hurt (including a horse) in the weeks following Christmas and the risk/reward ratio of this toy compares very, very well to, for example, roller skates (which my daughter is also asking for - maybe next year) .ps The same toy is sold under a number of different ads on Revain. I bought this one because it was an $80 Revain stock deal. It arrived just before Christmas and was in perfect condition with no missing parts.
