UPDATE: After putting on the earhooks, the bass came out at a good level, better than the EarPods. So now the sound is pleasant to hear. The reason I personally upgraded it to 4 stars instead of 5 is that when you put these earhooks on, they isolate all background noise, which most of you would consider a feature, but I like this design because it allows me to hear what's going on is around me. After finding out over the past few weeks that my Apple Earbuds weren't working with my PS4, I've been looking for headphones with a similar sound and form factor (the headphone style is perfect for my ears). This is the third pair in this quest. The first two were fine, maybe 60% sound quality and a little more uncomfortable, but they're $12 each, so I didn't leave a review, just returned them. But they are $30 and have amazing reviews so I figured they should be them. They charge MORE than Apple for their headphones and they claim to have quality sound with more bass so I decided to give them a try. I will make it as easy as possible with PROS. and a list of MINUS.PLUSEN-comfortable. They probably fit my ear better than headphones. Very easy. - The microphone sounds decent, although I didn't use it in a noisy environment. CONS - TERRIBLE sound quality. Worse than any $12 headphone knockoffs I've tried before. The only way I can describe the sound is that it is flat but has good midrange depth. So no dynamics, no purity in vocals or guitar. I don't know how they did it. There's no latch to connect the earbuds when packing away. MORE than Apple headphones he needs it. The assembly isn't bad, but definitely doesn't inspire confidence. Less robust than Apple headphones. moral of the story. They cost around $5 depending on sound quality. If you're willing to spend that much and you like the design (no earbuds) get the Apple Earbuds, unless you want to use them to chat with a gaming console, in which case I'm still looking.
