I purchased this product in March 2019 and use it fairly regularly. Basically, I use the broadcast mode on the device to listen to TV when everyone is sleeping so as not to wake up the family. In general, the product is great! I've paired this with my Beats Audio Studio Bluetooth headphones and haven't had any issues since pairing. The initial pairing can take a while and this is probably the only downside I have with the product. It took me about 15-20 minutes trying multiple times before they finally connected. The problem was only with the Beats as I have a pair of Jabra Elite Bluetooth headphones that paired in about a minute. Once the bits are finally paired, repairs are very quick and easy (within a minute at most). So I can definitely accept the initial problems. Setup: Hooking it up was very easy, I actually used a different optical cable than the one that came in the box when I connected it to my soundbar and needed a longer cable to reach it. I ended up placing the device behind my TV and since the device is quite small I can't even see it when I put the TV back in front of the device. Range: no complaints! The range is great, I can walk about 60-75 feet from the device and still have a good, strong connection. Since my device is behind my TV, I lose some range. So if you open it and clear all the obstacles, I'm sure you can get a lot more. Probably one of the best long range transmitters I have ever used (much better than the Avantree long range transmitter I have above). The sound quality is excellent, as is the timing. Never had a problem with audio not syncing with video and quality is great no complaints. All in all I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good bluetooth transmitter. The only downside was that it took about 15 minutes to connect my Beats headphones, but this could be a Beats-specific issue as my Jabras connected very well initially. The company's customer service is also very good, the only downside is that I believe they are located in China so communication can only be done via email and it can take around 5-10 hours for them to reply depending on the time of day an email. But they are very helpful!
