Nice stools. A special feature is the strength of the footrest. I'm sure it won't break if you put weight on it and the scratch resistant metal ring is a nice feature. The pillow is comfortable. Unfortunately I have problems with both and it's the seat itself. One seat cushion snagged a bit, in fact there are two small hooks on the cushion. They're barely noticeable, but I know they're there. They don't seem to damage the material, but when you put them together you couldn't help but notice the snags. Someone who comes to visit and sits down will probably never notice. The second stool started creaking as soon as I sat on it. There were creaks several times. Finally, last week I turned it over to see if the wood cracked. There is an elongated piece of wood in the seat frame that will come loose and the screws will likely break. I can not say it exactly. In my opinion they should be of better quality for the money and I don't want to sit on them and hear a loud creaking noise any more than I would like to have a guest sit on them. When you buy these stools, be sure to sit straight in the center of the seat. I saw a friend sit on it a little closer to the edge and I saw the seat of the stool sag to one side and I think that caused the wood inlay to come loose. I will be contacting the manufacturer for a replacement as I really like the look of the chair and the comfort of the cushion. Wish me luck! PS I assemble stools myself and am very accommodating and enjoy putting everything together. They were a bit difficult to assemble. I could do it again and would if they sent me new stools but don't really expect it.
