I bought two of these Ott-Lite replacement bulbs. first one, then the other. So I'm either an idiot or I'm very happy with them. The light is good, the white balance is comfortable, they don't make any noise and they take up very little space on my desk. Just one thing: as a description, they're supposed to be "dimmable" but don't expect them to be connected to an external dimmer. This does not work due to the type of power supply these lights use. The 'Sleep' setting is darker than the rest (and also a lot 'warmer', i.e. a lot less blue), but it's a degree of 'darkening'. If you try to run them on a remote switch, it doesn't work either. When the remote switch is turned on, they do not light up even if they were on when the remote switch was last turned off. You just have to put up with hitting the power button on them. That is the reason for my 4 star rating, not the 5 star rating.
