With the included Centigrade thermometer in place, the Forteo pen is held snugly with no rattling around. Forteo is to be kept between 2C and 8C. I tested this thermos at ambient room temperature, and it held at 2C for 24 hours, then warmed to 7C at the 48 hour mark, which is more than long enough for most multi-connection airline trips and 2 day road trips. While a bit more expensive, this is a MUCH better solution for Forteo pens than trying to use the typical insulin carriers with gel packs.
