We love the tablet. I did a lot of research and agonized over size, space, and protection options before settling on this tablet. My son had a small Kindle Fire, so I had to adjust a few things when switching. 1. The Play Store is similar to my phones, which it specifically wanted. The only downside was that we had to repurchase Minecraft. Their subscriptions will only transfer from device to device if they have the same download store - probably most people know this, but it didn't occur to me. 2. Parental control is really different in setting, some things are better, some things are not available (at the moment). It wasn't that easy to set up and I had to recreate his profile after figuring it out. There is a parent and a child boot and it comes with a child boot on the device but not a parent. Instead of weekends and weekdays, I can specify a different duration and start/end time for each day. You can also limit the time for each application. However, I haven't found a way to prevent the application time from being used until the educational goals are met.3. Combining 1 and 2 - I set parental controls for the play store so that he doesn't exceed the age range stated in his profile and I can either allow him to download anything that has a reasonable rating or ask him for my consent to catch up Then it will only load in his profile.4. It is very convenient to hang it by fabric straps. It comes with 2 straps (and stickers) with 1 more girly as it is pink in color but it can still be used without potential boy rejection so you have a free backup! The stand/handle could have been a bit stronger but it didn't complain so it just bothered me.6. After rebooting, my password has to be entered as the owner to access each profile, which is annoying when I'm not around. Space and battery life were good, the large screen was good too.8. I forgot to put in the original pin which broke within 2 months.
