If you don't want to take your charger to the office every time you decide to take your laptop with you, this is what you need. It's big, but that's because it's rated at 180W, while my laptop originally came with a very slim 150W charger. So it has more than enough juice for powerful gaming laptops like mine. You can leave it in one place and leave the original charger at home. This one is big enough that you won't want to travel with it unless absolutely necessary (using your original would probably be a lot easier). But it works great when there's something in the office or "media room" at the other end of your McMansion.
