Since two identical cables fail, I believe the charging port is defective, not a user-repairable situation. This product is returned as defective. NOW AFTER 5 MONTHS THE BATTERY WILL NOT CHARGE. The connections on the device are OK and when connected it lights up. Unplug and the device is dead. It only works when connected to a power source. Like a portable speaker - a brick. This is the second device with an issue and an overdue return date. I recommend you consider this purchase.
