We got this for my wife, a 29-year breast cancer survivor. A mastectomy was part of the treatment that saved her life and a prosthesis became a daily necessity. She's had several over the years—all expensive and mostly paid for out of pocket, given the begrudging and miserly insurance companies. (Replacement every 3-4 years seems to be the "authorized" norm.) Her most recent silicone form cost a bit over $700; our co-pay was almost $500! I swear this one from Ivita is all but identical! I can't tell you how incredibly pleased my wife is with this product! To say she's thrilled and delighted is an understatement. The fit—size and shape—is perfect, exactly what she needed. The Ivita is slightly heavier, though not by much and my wife says she prefers the extra once or two. Her older one came in a case—nothing fancy, just a zippered vinyl cube, and also included a cloth bag for overnight storage. The only minor quibble is the lack of any cleaning/care instuctions—not something my wife needed, but maybe helpful to those with less experience. However, this is an affordable godsend for any post-mastectomy shopper. I simply can't say enough good and positive things about this product. I'd rate it a 10 rather than a 5 if I could!
