Review on πŸ”₯ Advanced BLACK+DECKER D3030 Allure Professional Steam Iron: Unmatched Efficiency in Gray/Blue Design by James Broome

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Roventa no longer exists for me.

I had three expensive Rowenta irons (I sew a few) and each leaked so badly I had to throw them away. Enough! I read the reviews about it and decided to give it a try. (Quick digression. It's amazing how many iron reviews say they suck. I mean, if we could send a man to the moon you'd think.) At $28, this iron is cool anyway. The stainless steel outsole is as smooth as the Rowenta and worked perfectly on a couple of shirts and a tablecloth in my first test. May I say that it smoothed out the wrinkles on the tablecloth better than the latest Rowenta? I dare! I agree with some of the other reviews that the water tank is too dark to see the water level easily and the 'blue' is gray rather than blue. But so far I'm happy with this purchase. I'm picky about irons, so I'll update this when I get a chance to test out this shiny new toy. In general though, if they're all leaking, wouldn't it be better to change the $28 iron every year rather than the $100 iron? Four stars instead of one for the almost opaque water tank. but I hope its performance over the next few months will make me upgrade it to five stars. To update:. It's been over nine months and this iron is still running with no leaks. I iron two or three times a week, sometimes several things at the same time. It's reliable and just as efficient as my previous expensive irons. I upgraded it to five stars!
