I got a great discount almost half price. If you search, you can find filters that cost a little less money. I've let this run with it all day and night with no problems. I noticed that less dust accumulated in the apartment so quickly and it seems to have helped me to wake up stuffy, especially in winter when the heating was on. I have another similar one from the same brand and mine has held up. More than 6 months passed before the filter replacement light came on. I've cleaned and cleaned the pre-filter every few weeks, which helps. I recommend it!
