Great flashlight but understand what you are getting. It's similar to the Eveready I had 25 years ago but well upgraded. It has more light output than my old flashlight with only 1 battery. The light color is nice white, not the old yellowish. I managed to take the horse out to pasture in the evening. It gives enough light and would also be good for walking the dogs. My main goal was to make the light last longer with fewer batteries. So if a good alkaline battery lasts around 60 hours I'll update my review. So far the hard work he came up with took 4 hours. Unfortunately the days are getting longer now and it may be a while before I update this review. If you can't wait for the update, I think it's worth a try unless you need a really bright flashlight. Update 29th September 2018 The days are getting shorter, both still run on the batteries provided (non-alkaline), had some gas issues and used to catch fires under the sink. Used for a while as I'm not a fast worker. Daughter walks the dogs. I didn't count the hours but I'm impressed.
