Review on 🐢 Nutritious ORIJEN Dry Dog Food & Crunchy Biscuit Treats: Grain-Free & High Protein by Catherine Foht

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My happy, healthy dogs LOVE this food.

My dogs LOVE these snacks! They are 3 and 4 years old. One of my dogs is sensitive to grains and before I switched to this diet she had constant rashes and itchy skin. Since I switched to the diet below, they have not had a single sick day, stomach upset or rash. I also struggled with them being too heavy. I didn't want to cut them anymore because they were so hungry. I alternate my dogs with different flavors. My vet has said that it's best not to rely on a single source of protein as dogs can develop food intolerances and/or become bored. I used to buy Orijen Arcana but I don't buy it anymore because it has less protein. I feed my dogs fresh food (once a day fresh raw chopped veggies and a small amount of fruit (I always check what dogs can and can't do before I feed them anything) so they don't need a higher percentage of dried fruit. I also mix this food with Primal Raw Frozen Nuggets so they get fresh meat at every meal and a raw meat bone every week (I buy Primal Bones from the Pet Club) I thought it was weird just giving them the dry bits so how handy that could be for us be, but I feel like it would be like eating protein/energy bars with every meal. I'm a firm believer that dogs (and humans) need fresh, raw ingredients too (don't digest lactose) plain yogurt into a meal a day. uta, in a very shaky "save spot". Our vet put her on some probiotics and recommended giving her yogurt every day to clear the infection. They both enjoyed it so I saw no reason to stop. Mine In my opinion, probiotics and calcium can only be helpful, and when I run out of them, they're sitting by their bowls waiting for their food because they know they're missing out on some low-calorie, small, hard, chewable treats that you put in your pocket and won't fall apart when walked or exercised It took me a long time to figure out what works best for us I'm no expert but my dogs love their food and my vet says they are in perfect health and at an ideal weight and that their diet couldn't be better so maybe this information will help someone put a complete diet on their dog Here's what I give them twice daily feed: All dogs are different, but my 18 lb dog (who was a slightly overweight 21 lb dog before this diet) gets: - 1/4 cup Orijen Granules twice a day - 1 thawed main meat chunk twice a day . I alternate between different Primal Frozen meat nuggets. You can also buy these freeze-dried foods and reconstitute them with water, but I prefer to give them uncooked virgin nuggets. In the morning I add a spoonful of natural yoghurt without lactose to her meals. And in the evenings, instead of yogurt, I add about 1/4 cup of produce. It's usually a mix of two foods: chopped green beans, cucumber, broccoli, carrots, cooked pumpkin (I use unsweetened organic canned, no additives - beware of the spiced pumpkin pie), red, yellow, green peppers, some romaine, others Leafy greens - sometimes a few blueberries, chunks of apple, oranges, pineapple, cantaloupe, etc. My 11 lb dog gets exactly the same thing, except he gets a little less than half the piece that I give an 18 lb dog at each meal give. Give them their lunch without the primarily frozen nuggets, and then give them a raw meat or brain bone to gnaw on for hours. It also helps clean your teeth. I hope that this information will be useful to someone. If so, please click "Helpful" as I spend a lot of time on my reviews hoping maybe to help someone and I also believe in supporting great products! I'm happy to answer questions. I couldn't be happier with the quality of this croqueta.
