The towels are damn good. You can throw them in the laundry but I do a lot of dishes because we don't have a dishwasher and I love to cook so consider doing the washing up for a family of 4 even though I only cook for 2. I am currently using 3 out of 4 towels and one of the scrubs. The towels clean almost all of the dishes down to the clinging bits, and then I switch to scrubbing. I have found that they can wear a little but it doesn't seem to affect their use. They wash well and if you open them up and hang them on something (like a faucet) they dry quickly to a cardboard state. Note: Scrubs are NOT biodegradable. They are made from recycled plastic and are VERY CLEAN but not thick or damaging. I actually like them a lot more than I thought and they are very effective and as I said easy to clean. I don't use a sponge anymore, shall we say.
