they were exactly as advertised. surprisingly easy to install. DO NOT get hot even after several hours of use. The lighting on the apron is amazing and they were very easy to install with no screws. So light I just used the adhesive tabs that came with it. It's been about 3 months now (in Florida where we have it wet) and the glue is still strong. the dimmer is great - the darkest setting looks really warm, cozy and elegant. The brightest setting is a bit obnoxious at night, but adds nice useful lighting during the day for practical purposes like cooking. A common complaint is that the wires used to connect one light source to another in a "daisy chain" are too long for most applications (e.g. under cabinet lights). To get good even light distribution they need to be placed much closer together than the cables that come with them (a foot I think). I ended up simply wrapping the excess around the included wire clips to hide the excess wire. Although I would like to have shorter wires. If you crane your neck under my closets, it looks like a little ghetto. In case you're wondering, I used all 10 bulbs connected to the same power supply and a dimmer. no locking problems
